Emma Lovewell

Health, Wellness and Fitness Expert, Peloton Senior Instructor

Emma Lovewell is a New York-based health and wellness expert and fitness professional. She is currently a senior instructor for Peloton teaching cycling, dance and strength classes to millions internationally. She is the founder of Live Learn Lovewell, a site devoted to cultivating an authentic well-balanced life through healthy eating and an active lifestyle. A former multi-sport athlete and an advocate of female empowerment and accessible, holistic living, Emma is soon to be an author as well. Her first book — "Live Learn Love Well: Lessons from a Life of Progress Not Perfection" — will soon be published by Random House.

Doug Lansky

Travel and Tourism Expert

Doug Lansky has been living abroad and traveling for the last 20 years, visiting more than 120 countries. He is the author of 10 books — three for Lonely Planet and three for Rough Guides — and had a weekly syndicated travel column in over 40 newspapers for five years. Lansky also hosted a Travel Channel show, served as a correspondent for Public Radio’s Savvy Traveler show and contributed to publications including National Geographic Traveler, Reader’s Digest, Esquire, Men’s Journal, The Guardian, National Geographic Adventure, Huffington Post and Tnooz. Lansky has been a featured speaker for the United Nations World’s Tourism Organization, Google Travel, Amadeus and ITB Berlin, where he’s introduced audiences to new insights and smart tourism concepts.

Emma Lovewell is a star instructor at Peloton, a global fitness brand and media content company, but her journey to success began with a simple realization: Change is inevitable, but growth is optional. She chose to grow. During this session, Emma will share the moments in her life that shaped her into the woman she is today ― from growing up in a modest home amidst the affluence of Martha's Vineyard, to struggling with her biracial identity and fitting in, both in the white community and the Asian American community, to health setbacks and relationship challenges, to moving to New York and striving for a career in dance and fitness. Just as Lovewell is more than a fitness instructor, she's learned that wellness is more than just a physical condition. She shares the moments where mental fortitude shaped her outlook on the world and how the idea of "progress, not perfection" became a guiding principle.
